2 Dead After Fatal Shooting Near Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas

On Sunday evening, June 8, 2025, at approximately 10:40 p.m. local time, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) responded to reports of gunfire in the 3600 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, just outside—but not inside—the Bellagio Resort & Casino near the iconic fountains.

Patrol officers heard gunshots and rushed to the scene, discovering two individuals lying on the sidewalk with apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities subsequently secured the area, and part of the incident was captured in a live-stream and shared on social media.
LVMPD Undersheriff Andrew Walsh described the shooting as an “isolated incident”. Investigators believe it stemmed from a prior conflict on social media between the suspect and at least one victim. The suspect has been identified and is now wanted in connection with the killings.
Officers swiftly cordoned off the scene and urged the public to avoid the area. A manhunt is underway, with authorities appealing for tips via Crime Stoppers at 702‑385‑5555, and urging anyone with relevant information to come forward
Bystanders reacted in terror as shots rang out near a major tourist hub. Passersby were captured dropping to the ground for cover during the violent incident. The shooting marks another grim episode on the Las Vegas Strip, following a deadly gym shooting just weeks earlier
