What began as a journey of healing and purpose for Katie Page, a single woman from Colorado, turned into an extraordinary real-life miracle when she discovered that two of her foster children were actually biological siblings.
In 2015, following a divorce and a cross-country move from Alabama, Katie decided to become a foster mother. Her goal was to make a difference in the lives of children in need, particularly infants exposed to trauma or drug use. That same year, she welcomed a four-day-old baby boy who had been abandoned at a local hospital. She named him Grayson, and after 11 months of care, officially adopted him in 2017.
Just two weeks later, Katie received another call from the foster agency — a baby girl had been abandoned under strikingly similar circumstances. Though she had planned to wait before fostering again, something told her to say yes.
When the baby girl arrived, Katie noticed an eerie coincidence: the mother’s name and birth date listed on the baby’s hospital bracelet closely matched that of Grayson’s birth mother. Acting on instinct, Katie began researching both children’s backgrounds. Despite initial skepticism from the agency, Katie persisted.
Her determination paid off. A DNA test confirmed the unthinkable — Grayson and the baby girl, later named Hannah, were biological siblings, separated at birth and reunited by fate under Katie’s care.
On December 28, 2018, Katie adopted Hannah, completing a heartwarming family story that has since captured national attention. She now raises the siblings together, affectionately calling them “partners in crime.”
