In the early hours between Monday night and Tuesday morning, Malibu High School became the epicenter of a destructive senior prank that left the campus damaged and unsafe. The school district estimates the destruction will cost tens of thousands of dollars to repair.

Shelton confirmed that the district is working with the Malibu‑Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station to identify and prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal charges, restitution, and revoking senior privileges.
